CRYPTOCURRENCY ATM’s are physical centres where you can buy Bitcoins-Ethereum or other altcoins with fiat money and with some machines, sell Bitcoins-Ethereum or other altcoins too. Bitcoin ATMs are meant to offer access to Bitcoins to those who are not a part of the banking system.
How does a CRYPTOCURRENCY ATM works?
To buy bitcoins or altcoins, customers need to enter the dollar amount for which they want to buy and slip in the fiat notes one by one into the designated deposit area. After depositing the money, the machine sends Bitcoins to theirs Bitcoin wallet. When they first start a Bitcoin wallet they get a slip of paper with a QR code printed on it. Our customers can scan the code to get the private key and then use the private key in a wallet to gain access to the Bitcoins they have bought. If they want the Bitcoins to be sent to their pre-existing wallet, they can scan a QR code representing their wallet address using the BTM scanner. Bitcoins or altcoins are directly transferred to their wallet.
To sell bitcoins customers need to enter the amount of Bitcoin they want to sell and send it to the address displayed on the machine screen. Fiat money is dispensed after the transaction is complete.
The display and your wallet
Using the touch screen display, you first confirm which cryptocurrency you want to buy, as well as the desired sum of the deposit, such as 50 or 150 EUR. Amounts up to and including 250 EUR can be purchased without registration or verification. For larger amounts, a one-time verification by means of an official photo ID is required. Please note our Customer Support times.
Scan the QR code and deposit money
Now place your mobile device with the QR code displayed onto the scanner of the Bitcoin ATM. The scanner will now scan your QR code. This may take a moment - please wait until the successful transmission of the data is confirmed on the touch screen display of the Bitcoin ATM.Once confirmed, insert the bank notes equal to the total amount selected in the previous step into the money slot of the Bitcoin ATM.
Credit in your wallet
The transaction can take a moment to complete. Once the transaction is completed, the amount credited to your wallet will be displayed and confirmed on the display of your mobile device. Transaction fees have been automatically deducted from the deposit amount and may vary depending on the location.
What kind of documents do I need for identity verification?
For this process you need an official photo ID (passport or identity card). Please note that the photo ID must be valid.
